2 hours to reach Google images-onebox (universal-search)

2 hours until universal search

2 hours until universal search

This is amzing: today i noticed for the first time that an actual indexed image is shown in the images-onebox on the Google result page. Usually it took about 24 – 96 hours until new images are indexed by Google – this depends on the crawling rate of the images bot. But today I saw a two hours old image in the images onebox – while searching for the actual Google doodle „Louis Daguerre„. Here a sceenshot of this of the englisch result-page:

2 hours old image in the image onebox (google.de)

2 hours old image in the image onebox (google.de)

When I checked the german version I found a 2 hours old image. But it is a different picture. That means: this is not randomly happend – it‘ s a new concept (change of algorithm).

Brand new image in the Google universal search

Brand new image in the Google universal search

This is amazing – a completely new oportunity for serach engine optimizing!

This is freshness – Google image-search!

When I looked in the google imagesearch I was also surprized. 20 (!!!) images of the Top35 are new.

Google image-search: 20 of 25 pictures new

Google image-search: 20 of 25 pictures new

Never saw this before. This is what I call fresshness in Google images – Ok, there are a lot of pictures that are nearly identical.
