[New: London 2012 Basketball Google Doodle Video] … Ok, let the games begin… The Olympic Games 2012 in London will be opened today. Google celebrates the Opening of the Olympic Games 2012 (July 27th, 2012). It is the first of 17 olympic Doodles that will be shown on Googles homepage during the next two and a half weeks. Originally, the ancient Olympic Games were held in Olympia, Greece, from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. Baron Pierre de Coubertin founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894. Since then, the Olympic Games are held every four years.
